I know i heard there would be improvements to the DCU Center before the seaon starts. Anyone know what they are? Are they improvements we'd notice or is it all like locker room, weight room stuff.
Guess i'm mainly wondering if the DCU Center will be going with the seamless glass this year. Probably big bucks but it would be nice. |

My major suggestion for "improvements" is something that will probably not cost any money and would add to the enjoyment of the game....... My suggestion is : (once the game has started) to instruct the DCU Staff to ask people to wait until there is a stop in play before going to their seats. |

That's one of the things that's been discussed at at least a couple meetings. |

They were actually doing that, at least in the 108/109 section area. Stopping people until the play stopped. But then again, they also need to stop the vendors also. Which didn't seem to happen.
What other things were discussed at these meetings anyway? Seemless glass? Hmmmmm??? |

With going to Lowell this season I have noticed that they really try to stop people from going down the stairs while play is going (they have security at just about every section doing this). But its a 50/50 type thing, while yea they are stopping the ones coming down but they still have the people who just get up and leave their seats while the play is still going on. Its something that no matter what they do is always gonna be an issue and you just really have to deal with it. Until people gain some common sense this problem is never gonna go away no matter what. |

I know they're lowering the capacity which is a little helpful. But I think the 6,000s are a bit low. |

All I know is that the city of worcester indicated that they were going to pay for some improvements like fixing up the rest rooms, some general cleanup, and possibly paying for the new curtaining system.
Then I see on the season ticket paperwork that there is now a .50 cents city of worcester charge on each ticket.
Thanks city of worcester for bellying up to the bar in true political fashion by making promises to pay out but really end up passing your so generous offers off on the fans!!!
Way to go City Manager!!! |

I thought they had that .50 charge on IceCats tickets as well, and doesnt every city already include that as a hidden fee? |

I believe that the .50 added on to every ticket goes to pay off the score board. |

The .50 fee is paying for the City's stake in the hotel being built.
It is charged on every ticket to event at the DCU, and has been around for about a year. Had the IceCats made the playoffs in 04-05 those tickets would have had the fee charged with them. |
